Extended Care Clinic
We recognize how difficult this time is for everyone in our community. We continue to see patients in the office during the week while taking precautions to keep everyone safe. We have also increased the number of telehealth appointments the past two weeks. In addition, on April 18th we will open our Extended Care Clinic at our office on Saturdays and Sundays from 10a - 2p. By doing so, we hope to create further distancing of personnel and patients during the week and allow you to see a provider and avoid the Emergency Department if you have an urgent Orthopaedic need.
Orthopaedics East and Sports Medicine Center’s Extended Care Clinic offers patients with very recent injuries, sprains, muscle pain or broken bones (fractures) the opportunity to be seen without an appointment by an experienced orthopaedic provider. The Extended Care Clinic provides convenient, efficient access to compassionate orthopedic care so you can avoid the time and expense of going to the emergency room.
Hours for the Extended Care Clinic
Currently the Clinic will be open from 10a – 2p on Saturday and Sunday. Physician Assistants are on call during all other hours when our office is closed.

If the Physician Assistant determines that a physician is needed for your issue, a referral or consult will be made to one of our physicians to determine the best course of treatment.
Insurance and Billing
All Extended Care Clinic patients must meet our standard practice billing and insurance requirements as during normal office hours. We do NOT charge a different or higher copay for Urgent Care services although we do bill your insurance company for afterhours care.
If you had X-rays taken at another facility, please bring a physical copy (CD preferred) with you to our Extended Care Clinic. Otherwise, we may need to repeat your X-rays.
We appreciate you following the CDC guideline by wearing a mask or protective face covering to your appointment
