Elbow Replacement

Elbow replacement is less common than other joint replacements, but many people find that the procedure helps relieve pain from conditions such as arthritis, a severe fracture, or instability.

In an elbow replacement, the damaged parts of the humerus and ulna  are replaced with artificial components typically made of metal and plastic. This enables the joint to move freely and relieves the pain and stiffness in the joint.

Quick Fact

Most patients that undergo a hip replacement are between the ages of 50-80 years old.
